Business Directories For Local Marketing

Using Online Business Directories For Local Marketing

There are two types of people in the Business world today; those that know you, and those that don’t. The ones that know you will simply pick up the phone and call or send you a text message or email. The ones that don’t know you will hopefully find you on the web.

You can increase the chances of that happening by adding your business to online directories.

These are some of the top online directories you should consider having a listing and profile of your local business. Over 80% of consumers research local business and services online. Potential clients and prospects are just as likely to find you here on one of these sites as they are by driving by your business while on the road.

  1. The major search engines don’t seem to differentiate between website created for desktops and those for mobile devices. If you search for a hotel on your mobile phone you get a list of hotels but they may be mobile compatible or may not!
We have just launched a FREE mobile website directory where only mobile compatible website are listed http://www.bizzy.mobi. This makes it easier when trying to find information about hotels, new cars, property and travel as you don’t have to zoom out or in as the website fits your device.
Everyone (with a mobile compatible website) can add their website to the http://www.bizzy.mobi directory FREE.

Hey George – your comment and link are approved. There’s nothing worse than going to a website on a mobile device only to find that it is NOT mobile friendly. I never understood why people would use a QR Code to send someone to a site that is not legible on a mobile device. Thanks for sharing bizzy.mobi here.

  2. Thanks for sharing such an important business directory list. Your site is very informative Brad and so helpful for those business owners who want to promote their brand publicly. Thanks for sharing such a nice blog.

Hey, thanks for sharing this list! I was searching on Google for some useful sites with business directories and found your post. I’m surprised not to see http://www.showmelocal.com and WeLoveLocal mentioned here, but I suppose you have ordered them by page ranking.
