“If you’ve seen one, you’ve seen ’em all, right? But something about those high-flying explosions keep us coming back year after year for more. This week, we’ve serving up your Independence Day hit list in the Bay Area, Katy Perry lyrics not included.” Bookmark this and share with friends, family and neighbors. Enjoy and be safe!
Berkeley Marina (July 4, 12–11pm)
The all-day festivities start at 12pm, including kite-flying, pony rides, and live music leading up to the 9:35pm fireworks by the bay. Enjoy some pre-show Budweisers and BBQ on the patio at Zut! on 4th Street, and stroll from there.
Point Richmond (July 3, 6:30–10pm)
The Craneway Pavilion offers another waterfront scene at this pre-4th celebration, featuring a performance by the Oakland East Bay Symphony before the show. Get extra patriotic with a burger or Frito pie at Assemble, just next door.
USS Hornet Alameda (July 4, 11am–10pm)
With a clear view of the SF skyline, Hornet passengers can marvel at the pyrotechnic show on the other side of the bay. Doors open at 11am, so you can squeeze in some American history before party time. Make it an international affair by enjoying an exotic sunset meal at Abigail’s on the waterfront!
Concord (July 4, 10am–10pm)
A traditional hometown parade with all the old-fashioned flair: floats, marching bands, horses, and hot rods. Reveling starts in Todos Santos Plaza at 10am and sparks fly at 9:20pm. Fuel up at nearby E.J. Phair Brewing Co, where the grilled sausage trio justifies a couple rounds of the Ditzy Blonde.
Martinez (July 4, 9:30pm)
Spectators can stake their claim to a prime viewing spot at the Waterfront Park Marina before the 9:30pm show. Explore the classic American cocktail menu at Barrel Aged in downtown Martinez. It might just make a flag-waver out of you!
Benicia (July 3, 6:30pm) Torchlight Parade starts at 6:30PM and fireworks will begin around 9:00PM on the 4th of July.
Vallejo (July 4, 10:30am) The 160th Annual Parade held on July 4th starts at 10:30AM and Fireworks at the waterfront are scheduled for around 9:15PM.
